- Learning Objective (LO) - students will be introduced to possibly new concepts, and understand how their brains work more
- Learning Goal (LG) - students will start to put certain new items, concepts, or people into similar thoughts or groupings
- Do Nows - students will attempt definitions for new set of wall words
- Activities - students will watch two-minutes of "spinning woman" left/right brain teaser, then complete activity based on
whether you are more left or right brained, then take 20 question Unit 5 Pre-Test

- students will complete textbook assignment on the beginnings of The Great Depression
- LO - students will practice research, retrieval, and organization of ideas
- LG - students will learn and understand about the stock market, bank runs, speculation, and margins
- Do Nows - students will put new wall words into complete sentences
- Activities - students will define vocabulary from text, answer questions from text, and copy and understand a chart on causes
of Great Depression

- students will learn about current events in the U.S. or around the world, through N.Y. Times' "Upfront" magazines
- LO - students will practice researching, retrieving, and organizing notes from a text
- LG - students will learn about important topics in today's society, and how it may relate to them
- Do Nows - students will retrieve true definitions of new wall words
- Activities - students will take 10 facts/notes from 2 different articles of their choosing in Upfront magazine for possible discussion at
a later time
